Sadly, I spent a good percentage of the weekend at my desk. The project I’m leading ran into some issues, so of the 48 hours that make up Friday and Saturday, I was away from my desk a total of 17 of them. (And yes, that includes time to sleep.)
I did escape for a little while to go to the Apples & Crafts event in Woodstock, however.
And I would say that these artisans chose the correct fair to attend.
Saturday was quite windy up here (our power actually went out several times) and the craft fair going on at Stowe didn’t fare nearly as well as the one we attended in Woodstock.
It seems their main tent collapsed and crushed the handiworks and art beneath it. (Fortunately this happened at 6am, so there weren’t any people under it at the time.)
Overall I can say that our trip was a rousing success. I got to get out of the house for a few hours, and Jen fulfilled her pumpkin procurement quest.
As I mentioned, we’d spoken to the artist when we were moving to Vermont (he’s a friend of a family member and he was giving us advice about different places to live up here), but we’d never actually met. So it was great to meet him in person. He also took several minutes to chat with us, despite how busy his booth was, and even allowed Daphne to choose a cup of her very own which she’s been super excited about ever since.
