Omission

Yep. Straight up missed a post yesterday.

Jen and I actually spent the morning at the eye doctor getting vision check-ups.

After which time I’ve been ridiculously busy with work. And unfortunately that doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon.

It looks like I’ll be working through at least the first half of the weekend. And by “first half” I mean 8am Friday straight through until about 9am Saturday, at which point I can hopefully get away for a little while since we have family driving up and I promised Jen we’d get to the Apples & Craft Festival in Woodstock.

She’s on a quest for one of these jack o’ lanterns that are handmade by a local potter who is also a familial acquaintance, although we’ve never actually met him.

He was super helpful when we moved up here, though, and he makes some really awesome coffee mugs.

Although the bees on this one do make me a little sad…

As far as the chickys go, they’re as surly as ever.

“Hey. You. Piss off. We’re getting fresh shavings and food. Go do something constructive.”
“And you. I like my grit al dente. Not too much, now.”
“Gah! Hold still!”

See you tomorrow.
