We got a care package from Grammy last night that contained some questionable Halloween treats.

We mentioned to Daphne that she could have cupcakes after dinner and she shot up off the couch and sprinted to the table like we hadn’t fed her in a week.

Jen and I had a few as well but, as I said, I couldn’t tell you what any of the flavors actually were. The sheet had them listed as “Green Goblin” and “Spooky Tie-Dye,” but they were all essentially just “cupcake-flavored” as far as I could tell.
The “Bear-ied Alive” one was rather cute, though, as it had a gummi bear half-sunken in brown frosting. As if it were rising from its confectionary crypt.

I also got a chance to step away from my desk for a little while this afternoon. (I’m working all night, so I suppose it was kind of them to give me a little time during the day to myself.)
So I spent about an hour taking a 3-mile walk outside around the trees.
And now I’m going to get back to it before family arrives here in the next 30 minutes or so.
See you all next week.
