I’ve gotten my third concurrent project at work this week, so my time is stretched thin everywhere I look these days.
But at least Daphne is doing a bit better today.

In fact, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep her still.

Fortunately school just so happened to be canceled today due to a snowstorm, thus Daph didn’t get charged with an absence. (She did have to spend a snow day sick, though. So that’s lame.)
And if we’re being honest, said snowstorm wasn’t really all that impressive. We got about 5″ of powder that came down pretty gently throughout the day.
Just enough to camouflage the packed down tracks that Jen and I had been making to the coop for the past month.
This caused comical amounts of wobbling and staggering while I walked out there tonight, as each step had a 50/50 chance of completely giving way underfoot. And, each time it did so, that particular leg would plunge 2′ down and end up thigh-deep in snow.
One of these days I’m going to get a snowblower…

Unfortunately that’s not going to happen before the real storm arrives on Sunday.

We’ll see whether that one actually happens…
The chickens are doing just fine. They’ve relegated themselves to hanging in/around the coop all day since the snow is over their heads. They’re also (almost) entirely up on the roost bar these days.
All except little Daisy there. And I’ll tell you, Doris wasn’t thrilled about me taking that video.

Okay, see you tomorrow. (Friday!)
