Yeah, it’s nearly 11 here. Been a long day.
We got about 4″ of fresh snow this morning…

So I rolled out of bed, threw on a pair of dirty jeans, and headed outside (like I have on many a morning throughout the winter) to prep the car before Jen and Daph leave for school.
With so much fresh snow, you might be wondering whether I went up to the hill today and, sadly, the answer would be “no.”
I wasn’t feeling all that well this morning. Nothing too distinct, mind you. I just felt “off.” And so, concerned that I might be coming down with something (and with a doctor’s appointment for a check-up already scheduled for tomorrow), I decided to stay home and take it easy.
I’ve no idea what’s causing these random feelings of malaise to come and go. But they’re certainly not rare. Jen seems to think it’s stress-induced, and I don’t think I can argue that point. Not much I can do about that, though…
Anyway, I’m also going to start gathering some sleep data from my Apple Watch to see if perhaps there’s some apnea happening.
Anyway, handled some meetings and work in the morning and, by the afternoon I was feeling significantly better. So much so that we did a quick jaunt down to Black Moon Games in Lebanon to pick up my pre-ordered copy of the new Monster Manual.

Now I’ll level with you all.
I haven’t played D&D in 30 years.
And yet, when a new series of books is released, I am inexplicably compelled to buy the trinity of rulebooks*.
[*The Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, & Monster Manual]
I couldn’t tell you why. Might be it’s the nostalgia. Once I’m done here I’ll go upstairs and start poring through the pages, reading all the random monster entries, just like I’ve done since I was 7 years old and I finagled a copy of the original D&D “Basic Set” box from my uncle.

Yes, I have been reading these stupid rulebooks, for a game I don’t play, since 1981.
It’s true; I don’t often make a lot of sense.
Okay, see you tomorrow.
