I did, in fact, make it up to Burke this morning.

And don’t let that yellow orb in the sky fool you, it was cold.

My beard was frozen solid by the time I got to the car at around 11:30, so much so that pieces of it were actually breaking off.

Unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of powder left from yesterday, and they’d groomed the whole thing down to a hard piste so the conditions were pretty fast.
As such, it was probably a good thing that Jen stayed home to work on her writing rather than join me today.
As far as Daphne goes, she is well on her way to becoming an Olympic-class cupcake manipulator.
And so now I’ve gotta steal away at some point tomorrow to pick up chocolate cupcakes for us Daphne this weekend…
Which, I mean, is so incredibly unfortunate.

Aside from that she’s had a pretty good week. Lots of glowing reports from her teachers. No issues with the recidivist bully. And she’s both gone to school and come home happy each day.
Not a whole lot more we could ask for there.
As a matter of fact, she just walked through the door…hang on.

See you tomorrow.
