Been a bit of a downer ’round here lately. Sorry about that. Honestly it’s been a rough week, both at home and work.
Nothing terrible happening at the day job mind you, quite the opposite, it’s just…a lot.
I’m not sure if that’s what caused me a ripping headache in the middle of the night last night (could be I was grinding my teeth too) but I had to get up at 5am to take an Advil, and I rarely take that stuff.
Anyway. Work.
Until I hit the MegaMillions…here I’ll be.
As for Daphne, she’s back in school today. We sent her in with three changes of clothes and two of those weird green pee pad things with the suggestion that she be taken to the bathroom about every 20 minutes. That’s probably going to irritate the hell out of her, but I don’t see another way to ensure she’s not peeing at/on her desk in class. We haven’t gotten any texts from concerned teachers yet, so…so far so good.
But hey, it’s Friday. At the very least I won’t have the stressor of my day job for a couple days. And my mom is in town this weekend, so that will be a huge help with Daphne.
Speaking of bright sides, I guess it’s time for a Quicky Chicky Check-In
Still good. Still growing. It’s nearing time for a field trip for these little girls, which means we put them into a contained area outside so their little bodies get used to any microbes/bacteria/stuff that lives in the soil on our farm.

In our case, that means 3 years of chicken poop that’s part of the dirt. Hopefully it doesn’t impart whatever weird thing is causing 2/3 of our current chickens to not lay eggs. Because if we have 7 chickens who aren’t laying I may very well get into the nugget business.

Okay, calling it here since we have a lot to do before family arrives.
See you next week, hopefully a better one.
