It’s official. The Question has been asked aloud.
The verbal harbinger of the end of summer vacation for kids, and the buyout at the end of the estival tunnel for their parents.
“Does she have enough school clothes?” was uttered this afternoon.
And in Daphne’s case, the answer is a resounding…not even close.

So it would appear that a shopping trip to Lebanon is in the cards for this weekend.

I also received a gift card to the gaming shop down there for my birthday from Jen and Daph, so perhaps we’ll make a pit stop over there as well. I know Black Moon Games happens to have a DAP (Daphne Approved Potty) so that will probably be the first stop we make after the hour drive.
Speaking of my birthday, I just got a gift from my uncle a couple days ago too…

I’ve actually never done one of these before, so it should be interesting. (And Jaws has been a familial favorite our whole lives.) I have heard that people love putting them together, though I haven’t played with Legos since I was a kid.
As a matter of fact, the last time I did so was probably with this very same uncle while we were being babysat at our aunts’ house… Which would put it at well over 40 years ago.
I’m not saying this to insinuate that I’m opposed, in any way shape or form, to playing with toys, mind you…

And the box does state that this is an 18+ endeavor. I’m assuming this is because of all the cursing that’ll be required to put the damn thing together…

Although in looking at it now, I’m afraid to say that the real challenge here may not even be in assembling all the pieces correctly. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to keep Daphne out of these. They look so delightfully chewy…
I guess I’ll build one section at a time and then store it in the box or something? Eh, I’ll figure that out once I’m underway and after that damned shark.

Okay, I’m calling it a night. See you tomorrow.
