In today’s post, which happens to be the 75th one since I’ve started this little thing, I want to blog a little about the blog itself. Starting with that image at the top…
Now back in the day I’d update the “BumbleDad” logo with new pictures every so often, so it looked like an ever-growing collage was happening around the title.

But I began writing there a long time ago, and my life as a parent is very different today than it was back then. This (along with the obvious geographical maneuvering), is what prompted the revamp to Vermontism.
Essentially I wanted to talk more pointedly about being a dad to a child with autism, and highlight the different challenges and joys involved in that experience versus being a parent to a neurotypical kid. All set against the backdrop of what is, for most anyway, a rather atypical living environment.

So this is the full version of the website’s logo image:

Hopefully with it zoomed out like that you can make out the intended message there a bit easier. If you’re still not sure, the “A” is the barn itself, and the “V” should be read as a “U.”
So VTism.com is actually = AUTism.
Also, while we’re talking about the website, there’s a menu at the top of each page there.
The “Links” section is for other sites that I want connected to mine. (Right now there’s only one.)
The “Facebook” one is obvious.
And then there’s the “Portfolio” link, which is a comprehensive list of all the publications/articles/books that I’ve worked on and/or written throughout the years. (At least I think it’s comprehensive…honestly I’ve lost track.)
And here endeth the quick tour. It’s almost dinnertime, so I’ve got to get out of this room and with my family…
See you tomorrow.
