Burling Town

It’s been quite some time since we’ve gone down to Burlington. As a matter of fact, I can’t remember the last time we were there…

And since procuring our passports was thwarted by a random Internet outage at the post office, we headed to the “big city” to wander around instead.

Big city is in quotes up there because this is the population of the little town we moved up here from…

And this is Burlington…

Hard to believe, but that’s also the biggest city in Vermont.

Anyway, we walked along Church Street and did a bit of shopping. It seems they opened a new Vermont Flannel there, so Daphne got some new pajama pants. After which we passed the Fjallraven store which was having a “Store Closing” sale with everything an additional 60% off.

That one proved too difficult to pass up.

We ended up leaving with a new purse/backpack for Jen as well as a few shirts…one of which I’m actually wearing right now.

The NEK’s only male model.

After which it was time to head home. And Daph was quite ready to do so…

She’d been mashing “home. home. home” in the backset for 20 minutes, then inexplicably stopped the moment I started recording.

On Sunday we did…absolutely nothing; it was a full-on lounge day. I mean, Daph didn’t even get out of her (new) pajamas. Air frying some mozzarella sticks was about as ambitious as we got.

Honestly they were pretty bland. And smelled like stale beer.

I did, however, start a little YouTube pilot project on Sunday where I tell random stories from my life while taking a lap around the Christmas trees.

I’ve no idea whether I’ll keep doing those, but I’m having fun with them right now. I have something like 30 different storytelling ideas in a notepad app already… So we’ll see.

Okay. Back to work.
