I’m afraid we’re doing a late post this Friday.
I’m in the middle of a large data migration project at work and we’ve been preparing for it all day… For weeks, really.
I’m still working on it now, and will actually be here for every waking hour between now and Sunday. (And by “waking” I mean generally all of that time, with catnaps on the sofa during the few hours that U.S. and India time don’t quite align for work hours.)

You can actually see the remnants of our DoorDashed dinner there in the red box behind me on my desk.
You know, I think it’s been over a year since we had McDonalds and I can say, with renewed authority, that it has not improved whatsoever during that time. I’ll be more than happy to go another few years before I try that experiment again…
We’d tried to run up to Wendy’s in Newport, since that’s a Daphne favorite, however I’d forgotten that the entirety of the eastern seaboard has descended upon Vermont this weekend to watch our trees die…

As such, the drive-thru line was 12+ cars deep. So instead I cleverly tried to go inside and place an order to go. Alas, they had an employee guarding the ordering kiosk who was only allowing one order per 10 minutes into it.
I have no idea what the rationale is there, but I wouldn’t have made it back home in time for work if I’d stayed to find out. (I’d probably still be there.)
Thus, McDonalds.
I just tried to go get a Quicky Chicky Check-In for you guys, but as I flipped the light on they were all cuddled up together around the brooder heater and I felt bad for waking them all up…so I didn’t get a picture.

I’m a little jealous.
Okay, see you all next week.
