Ahoy there. And hello to everyone who’s come by after Friday’s Facebook post. Good to see you all again.
So, as promised, there was indeed a trampoline park that happened on Saturday. And someone was awake bright and early to remind me of that very thing…

So we had a quick breakfast and then drove down to Get Air! in Williston.

We stayed for 2 hours while Daphne bounced around enough to make my spinal discs recoil in horror. Her beautiful mother, however, had no such reservations and bounced right along with her…

I did catch something in this video that merits discussion, though. In the background, at about 7 seconds in, you’ll meet Señor Flippy Del Smileyshirt.
This guy…
This guy glared at every kid who entered the vicinity of where he was performing his VERY SERIOUS jumpy jumpys. Then, after said kid happily bounced by, he’d lift his arms in exasperation and shake his head angrily at them as if to silently convey, “how dare you enter MY LANE, child. You think bouncing is fun and games?” You can actually see him get pissy about something and slam his fists down on the dais at 0:54 in the above video.
Look… I get it, Flippy. You’re really into bouncing on trampolines. It’s okay, I have ridiculous and empirically childish hobbies too.
But don’t be a jackass about it.
You want a place where you can improve your skill at jumping up and down without being interrupted? Then buy your own trampoline. Because you were at a public trampoline park, on a Saturday, at noon. So you really shouldn’t be shocked and/or pouty about other children jumping nearby. They paid to be there, just like you did.
And, just for the record, you stared down a little girl with special needs because she happened to walk by while you were mentally preparing to do…whatever the hell it is you were doing. That’s pretty pathetic, mate.
Okay, that’s enough about Señor Flippy.
Despite this, Daphne had a fantastic time. She leapt and bounced around long enough for Dad to start tinkering with his phone camera…
But, as we closed in on the 2-hour mark, she started to wear down…

So we (tearfully) took our leave of Get Air! and headed to April Cornell in Burlington so Mom could go shopping.

Alas, given Daphne’s crankiness at having to leave the trampolines behind, perusing garments felt like it would end poorly if she were in tow. So, rather than tempt fate, she and I went next door to Burlington Bay Market instead and had french fries on their patio.

She’s right. The fries were quite good. Although I suffered mild sticker shock at the register. Two orders of large fries cost $18. Still, the maneuver gave her mother time to shop at her leisure and pick out a couple dresses, so I think it should be filed in the Success! column.
After this we headed home and had some excellent homemade pizza at our neighbor’s place. Which meant Doris got to express her gratitude at a fourth chance at life (yes, she’s been attacked by predators three times before) with a bottle of bourbon.

Sunday we kept things pretty low-key. Doing our weekly grocery shopping at the Littleton Co-Op was about as ambitious as we got.
And that’s pretty much the long and short of it. I currently have a chicken squawking like mad outside my window…
Which is either an egg song or her alerting me to Chuck scampering along the road a few minutes ago… Regardless, it’s probably time for a Chicken Check-in.
See you guys tomorrow.
